Offers transportation
service between Prince Rupert and Skidegate Landing
all year around. A ferry service
between Prince Rupert and Port Hardy is also available. Sometimes
these 2 different routes offer connection for faster transportation.
A small car ferry connects
Moresby Island (Alliford Bay) to Graham Island (Skidegate Landing).
The ferry runs 7 days a week.
Flights between
Vancouver and Sandspit, Haida Gwaii
Several companies offer passenger plane
transportation on a daily basis between Vancouver and Sandspit airport sometimes twice a day using jet planes and
turboprop planes. There is a shuttle bus between Queen Charlotte City
and Sandspit
Airport which is very convenient.

between PRINCE RUPERT and ROSE HARBOUR
We organize floatplane transportation.
We must warn you that it is not cheap unless we fill up the floatplane
both ways. Price depends on the total number of passengers that
we can organize together. This option will definitely be interesting
to you if you are short on time. Starting price is set at 90% of cost
to charter the floatplane. If we find more people to fill the floatplane,
we will divide cost as follow: cost at 120% divided by total number
of passengers. Early reservation is important to give us time to find
more passengers to lower your cost!
Floatplane

We organize
floatplane transportation. We must warn you that it is not cheap

Our floatplane
price list is complicated!
Our prices are based on floatplane
size, number of people in your group, when you wish to visit and
other factors. The price is to give you a general idea of
the potential costs. Contact us for exact cost. Floatplane costs
are final and will not change when you confirm your reservation
with your deposit.

Floatplanes
have a very limited cargo space.
You are limited to what you can bring
with you. Small pieces of luggage the size of large day
pack is best for maximum available luggage space. Big suitcases
are hard to fit!

Floatplanes
offer thrills, convenience and comfort
compared to boats.
It only takes about 1 hour to fly between
Queen Charlotte City/Sandspit and Rose Harbour. Speedboats
can take up to 5-6 hours to/from Moresby Camp!
We like to use floatplane transportation because it works
best in most weather conditions and we care a lot about the comfort
of our guests. Keep in mind that when it is
rainy, windy and cold, boat transportation is not very pleasant
and takes even longer!

Floatplanes
are subject to cancellation due to poor weather
conditions.
We strongly recommend you make arrangements
to leave Haida Gwaii 24 hours after you leave Rose Harbour.
We also recommend that you arrive on Haida Gwaii the day before
you are scheduled to fly to Rose Harbour. If
you miss your floatplane, you may have forfeited your floatplane
transportation deposit. If you are "stuck"
in town, due to weather, Sandspit and Queen Charlotte City offer
plenty of accommodation in case you have to stay overnight unexpectedly.
Local people are very helpful in making your unexpected stay enjoyable
and hassle free.
We assume no
responsibility for floatplane cancellations due to weather conditions
since it is beyond our control! We can
only re-schedule to the following day.

Floatplanes
come in different sizes. Number of
seats available on floatplanes may be less depending on the weight
of the passengers and the amount of luggage you are carrying.

Departures
from Queen Charlotte City are usually
around 13:00 hours.

Departures
from Rose Harbour are usually around
14:00 hours.

or your hotel by request.
TIPS
FOR BEST PRICES FOR YOUR FLOATPLANE TRANSPORTATION:
- The larger your group,
the cheaper it is depending on floatplane capacity!
- The longer you stay at
the guesthouse, the cheaper it is!
- The more flexibility
you have for your dates, the better.
- Make your reservation
early
- Check our floatplane
scheduled flights list and try to match your dates with the dates
of "preferred booking" already on the calendar.

Stopover at Hotspring Island
We also offer an alternative
to floatplane transportation directly to Rose Harbour. We offer combined
boat and floatplane transportation between Queen Charlotte
City and Rose Harbour with a stopover at Hotspring
Island. Considering floatplane transportation cost to and from Rose
Harbour, we believe this option is a great opportunity to see a large
amount of the park for a minimal added cost.
Due to the requirement for good
weather, floatplane schedule and our boat availability,
we cannot guarantee we can offer this option
in advance. We can almost guarantee you
nice weather for this option since we make a point to offer
this excursion only if sea conditions will be good.
If you are interested, we will try to make it happen as long as you
understand that we cannot
make any commitments
or agreements regarding
this option.
We will know for sure at the
earliest the day before you are scheduled
for transportation to or from Rose Harbour
if we can offer this
option! Let us know where you are staying the night before.
This
includes:
- 2.5 hour boat transportation
between Hotspring Island and Rose Harbour
- 1 hour minimum stay
at Hotspring Island (Parks Canada time limitation regulation).
- Floatplane transportation
from/to Queen Charlotte City is around 35 minutes
Just
let us know if you are interested in this option instead of flying
one way between Rose Harbour and Queen Charlotte City. We

 We
offer many guided excursions with
our
19ft Rigid Hull Inflatable
powered with twin 4 stroke , fuel injection outboard engines, our
vessel is as quiet and smokeless as possible. This is an open
boat designed to be fast and sea worthy for its size.
We provide you with a cruiser suit as shown in
the picture to keep you afloat, warm and dry. We also have raingear
to go over them if necessary. Our boat is Ministry of Transport
inspected and approved with many safety features only required on
