Our chef: Mary Wright

Meals are prepared by Mary Wright who has a solid reputation as a culinary chef on Haida Gwaii.  She likes to create exotic dishes that are nutritious and delicious.  She also takes into consideration the needs and preferences of our guests for all our meals.  She uses recipes from around the world to prepare a variety of meals that will please almost everyone.  If you are a difficult eater, Patrick will make you macaroni and cheese...  Mary is certified under the "BC Foodsafe Program".

Patrick, who has a PHD in dishwashing, takes care of some breakfasts. Maybe he will let you try his 10,000 years old Ancestral Belgian family recipe: the "Awful Belgian Waffles".
Deadly if  you're on a diet or have a cholesterol problem.
Meals are served at our table in our house and set in a family setting where everyone enjoy each others company.

Our meals are made mostly with organic products whenever possible. We have a large selection of grains and other dry goods, most unprocessed to retain all their nutritive values and freshness. Bread and other baked goods are always fresh from the wood fired oven. We usually can accommodate people with food allergies or food preferences if you let us know in advance. We prepare our meals with organic vegetables from our garden as much possible. The selection of our garden produce depends on the time of the year you visit.  Our garden usually starts producing in June..

Our coffee is fresh ground, organic and of the best quality.
We also share our homemade beer and wine in moderation at no cost to you.  We do recommend to bring extra if you think you may need to.

Because of the Canadian Dept of fisheries regulations which makes it impossible for local small businesses to serve fresh fish, our business cannot serve fresh seafood with your meals.
But you are welcome to share the catch of the day with our family during meals at no cost... 
Depending on who bites the hook, our family eats a variety of fish species such as rock fish, halibut, lingcod, salmon, black cod.  We also at times eat urchins or octopus.

If you are vegetarian: no problem! Let us know in advance especially if you have any food restrictions.  As long as you do not mind other people eating dead things at the table, no problem!
