Masset:

Small town offering basic services and accommodations. Short drive away from beautiful sandy beaches and Naikoon Provincial Park. We recommend you to visit the Maritime museum, "North Beach" and Tow Hill if you are up that way.

Moresby Landing:

Site of a close down logging camp. It is reachable on a poorly maintained gravel road from Sandspit or Alliford Bay (Sandspit ferry terminal). There is no facilities there except an overfilled garbage can. Located in Cumshewa Inlet, it is the closest you can drive to Gwaii Haanas. From there, you must go by water or catch a floatplane. A short distance away by boat is the ancient Haida village of  Skedans.  There is no maintained boat ramp but 4 wheel drive beach access is available at several locations for boats launching.  A large private dock (which is slowly sinking) is owned by a logging company and is open to the public as long as you stay out of their way and very much at your own risk!

Ninstints (SGang Gwaay 'LLnagaay):

Less than 10 KM from Rose Harbour lies the island of SGaang Gwaii (Anthony Island) where the ancient Haida village of Ninstints remains can still be admired. Once a large flourishing Haida village, today weathered totem poles stand as a testament to this ancient Haida community.  This is one of the highlight of visiting Gwaii Haanas.  It's degrading very rapidly and we don't think it as much time left before the poles start falling down.  Now or never if you want to see it!

Port Clements:

Small logging town offering basic services and accommodations. They had 2 major setbacks a few years ago. The rare Golden Spruce was cut down by a lunatic and the even rarer White Raven was electrocuted in a accident.  There is a small museum of logging history.

Queen Charlotte :

The town offers a wide range of services and accommodations.  Floatplane are conveniently flying right from the center of town and we utilise their services.  A large information center offers tourism opportunities and all there is to know about Haida Gwaii.  There is a bus shuttle you can use to go from the Sandspit Airport to Queen Charlotte.

Rose Harbour:

Location of Gwaii Haanas Guest House and Kayaks

Site of an old whaling station established over a 100 years ago, Rose Harbour is now a small alternative community of 3 homesteads proud of calling Gwaii Haanas their home. Everybody visiting Rose Harbour are very happy to see a small community perfectly integrated in it's ecosystem by not relying on the extraction of the natural resources for it's economy. We offer many important services including responding to emergencies and providing fresh food from the resident's organic gardens. Our homestead is the furthest one on the west side of the bay. If you are in need, you can be sure to find somebody to help you (unlike Parks Canada) all year around and at no cost to the taxpayer...
WELCOME TO ROSE HARBOUR!

Sandspit:

Small town offering basic services, accommodation and the airport where passenger planes from Vancouver commute. A limousine service is available between Queen Charlotte and Sandspit.  Sandspit is connected to Graham Island by a small car ferry traveling between Alliford Bay and Skidegate Landing. You can drive to Moresby Landing using a logging road from Sandspit or the ferry terminal.

Skidegate:

Haida village offering basic services and close to the ferry terminal in Skidegate Landing. We highly recommend the Haida Gwaii Museum (2km south) for its wide selection of ancient artefacts from Haida Natives and first settlers. Many new and ancient house poles are in display indoor and outdoor.  A  good selection of early Haida Argelite Carvings can be admired.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
